Grate posters

These bold vector designs are lovely the designer has incorporated the shape of ballerina and swan beautifully.

Vintage

It has become a trend amongst students to own vintage things (clothing, jewelry, music, books etc) I have found that Urban Outfitters sells this trend and offer a large vintage range in their shops and online.
I intend to include this in my poster designs and chose old 'vintage' books for the subject matter.

Other designers poosters

As i really don't have much time left on this project i've been looking into more simple designs for inspiration and printing processes.
I like these designs and all though they do look quite dated I think the style would still be suited to the urban outfitters shop displays. Also adding to the 'vintage' that Urban Outfitters prides themselves on.

Poster colour

These prints are a big trend, with their miss mash of vivid neon colours. Although I have decided to go down the 'vintage' look with my poster, If i printed it in these sorts of colours it would probably add a modern visual twist.

Retail Promotions and branding

Although I don't particularly like this design, I have included this onto my blog to show an example of how a banner design can be applied through out a shop environment. Then further on to bag design, tag labels, vouchers and other relating promotions. This is how I can see my Urban Outfitters brief developing further.

Super hero posters

I think these vector, vintage style posters are great! Simple and clear.
Not to sure what the point of them is, but they work well as a set.

British Books

As part of the Urban Outfitters brief I need to find out which British books are popular with 18-30 year olds. From my findings I need to select a few for myself to read and generate imagery and illustration from. I am currently writing up a questioner to gather relevant titles.

Urban outffitters

To get started on this urban Outfitters brief I have visited their Leeds branch to research their shop environment. Selling a range of on trend products, mainly clothing, they take pride with their vintage, retro, hipster, kitschy style. A popular shop with students.
They sell a few books and some of their clothing garments also contain influences from literature. So my british book themed banners should work well alongside these items.
